چکیده

This article investigates channel phase mismatch calibration during the application of displaced-phase-center antenna (DPCA) in dual-channel sliding spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for ground moving target indication (GMTI). In SAR, utilization beam progressive sweeping azimuth causes centers to be misaligned from sensor path, resulting between channels. Then, spatial co-registration required DPCA cannot achieved directly by an time shift. this study, a method based on scanning geometry SAR is developed address issue. Moreover, effect estimation difference two channels derived and analyzed depth. The clutter suppression results processed experimental data acquired C-band system (Gaofen-3) operated mode are shown first demonstrate effective calibration.

Processing Three-Channel SAR-ATI for GMTI

This paper investigates two methods for GMTI using three-channel SAR-ATI data. Motivated by previous results in the two-channel case, a deterministic method for finding an Eigendecomposition of the SAR-ATI sample covariance matrix is presented. The CFAR detection capability of each of the eight parameters of the Eigendecomposition is evaluated using measured three-channel airborne data and comp...

First Spaceborne SAR-GMTI Experimental Results for the Chinese Gaofen-3 Dual-Channel SAR Sensor

In spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors, it is a challenging task to detect ground slow-moving targets against strong clutter background with limited spatial channels and restricted pulse repetition frequency (PRF). In this paper, we evaluate the image-based dual-channel SAR-ground moving target indication (SAR-GMTI) workflow for the Gaofen-3 SAR sensor and analyze the impact of st...

Circular SAR GMTI

We describe techniques for improving ground moving target indication (GMTI) performance in multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. Our approach employs a combination of moving reference processing (MRP) to compensate for defocus of moving target SAR responses and space-time adaptive processing (STAP) to mitigate the effects of strong clutter interference. Using simulated moving ta...

Moving Target Motion Parameter Estimation in Two-Channel SAR-GMTI

Part 1: Two-channel SAR-GMTI systems are suboptimal for moving target motion parameter estimation. Indeed, the ATI phase estimate of a moving target across-track velocity component is biased to lower values depending on the target signal to clutter ratio and the target across-track velocity. Additional antenna diversity can introduce additional degrees of freedom th...

Sliding Spotlight Mode Imaging with GF-3 Spaceborne SAR Sensor

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sliding spotlight work mode can achieve high resolutions and wide swath (HRWS) simultaneously by steering the radar antenna beam. This paper aims to obtain well focused images using sliding spotlight mode with the Chinese Gaofen-3 SAR sensor. We proposed an integrated imaging scheme with sliding spotlight echoes. In the imaging scheme, the two-step approach is app...
